Potential Fixes for Skate Error Code 528614044

The Skate error code 528614044 indicates that there are some issues with the internet connection. However, it doesn’t mention whether it’s a server-side issue or client-side. If it’s the former, there’s not much you can do. However, if it’s the latter, then here are some things you should try to fix it:
1) Check for Internet Connection/Restart Your Router
There’s a good chance your internet is actually not working. Sometimes, we get so hyper-focused on a game that we forget to check if the internet is working. You may also want to restart your router. Modern routers operate 24/7 without any issues. However, older Wi-Fi 4-based routers often get overloaded. You must restart it for everything to go back to normal. There are still many households with an old Wi-Fi 4-based router. Restarting it may fix the Skate error code 528614044.
2) Flush Custom DNS Settings
Many users add custom DNS settings to block ads on their systems without knowing how it can affect online games. For example, Skate doesn’t play well with custom DNS settings and only runs after you flash the DNS settings out of the system. Here’s how to do it:
a) PC

Follow these steps on Windows 11:
- Right-click on the Start Menu and choose Windows Terminal/PowerShell (Admin).
- Click Yes when it asks for admin rights.
- Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter on your keyboard.
Try relaunching Skate, and it should connect just fine.
b) Xbox Series S | X
- Go to Settings and head over to Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS settings.
- Next, if it is already set to manual, change it to Automatic.
- If it is set to Automatic, you should select Manual, add some random one-digit numbers in the blank boxes, and then reselect Automatic.
This should reconfigure the Internet and flush out old DNS settings that may have lingered. This should fix the Skate Error code 528614044.
c) PlayStation 5
- Go to Settings and head over to Settings > Network.
- Next, click the settings button under the Network tab and then choose Setup Internet Connection.
- In this new page, click on the network connection connected to this device.
- Next, press the Options button on your controller and select Advanced Settings on the screen.
- Next, change it to Automatic if it is set to manual.
- If it’s set to automatic, you should select Manual, add some random one-digit number, and then reselect Automatic.
3) Switch to Ethernet/LAN connection
A congestion in wireless frequency, which often happens in apartments, can lead to wireless connectivity issues. Switching to wired LAN/Ethernet connectivity may fix the Skate error code 528614044.
If all the above solutions fail, then the problem is probably associated with EA’s servers. In such cases, you will simply have to wait it out until EA fixes it from its side.
