Find out how you can complete the Undying Scorn mission and take down Lisa in the harsh world of Slitterhead.
Slitterhead has no shortage of important missions and quests, pivotal to your journey through 1990s Tokyo as you battle waves of bizarre monsters. Among these, the Undying Scorn mission manages to stand out, not only due to the intense combat you have to engage in during the mission but also its story implications. Undying Scorn sees Alex confront Lisa, leading her to transform into a disturbing Slitterhead that can perform a wide range of powerful attacks.
In this article, we will discuss how you can take on and defeat Lisa’s monstrous form in the game, and complete the challenging Undying Scorn mission in Slitterhead.
How To Complete the Undying Scorn Mission in Slitterhead
The Undying Scorn mission in Slitterhead focuses on Alex, so he will your Primary Rarity for this mission. As for your Companion Rarity, you can choose between other characters freely, with the exception of Julee. However, we recommend you choose Edo, as he can dish out significant damage to enemies, thanks to his Burning Edge Skill. You can also use Doni, Anita, or Tri if you’re not a fan of Edo and his abilities.
Phase 1
When your battle against Lisa begins, you can use Alex’s Bloody Blast and Blood Well powers in combination. You can then switch to your Companion Rarity and start dishing out standard attacks to be aggressive. At a certain point, Lisa will let out a standard attack and teleport across the arena. She will then use Blood Orbs, which you can move between to avoid taking damage from.
Once this happens, you can use Edo’s Burning Edge ability to take large chunks of her health bar away and potentially stagger her. When Lisa is staggered, you can let out a variety of attacks that she will not be able to dodge or block. However, be careful as when she recovers, Lisa will surround herself with a poisonous cloud. Coming in contact with this cloud can apply the Poison Level Two ailment to you.
Additionally, Lisa can also summon smaller enemies for you to battle. It is recommended that you focus on taking these smaller Slitterheads out first. After eliminating them, you can shift your focus back to Lisa and use the combination of Alex’s Bloody Blast, Blood Well, and Edo’s Burning Edge to widdle her health down to half.
Phase 2
After Lisa’s health falls below the halfway point, she will trigger her second phase. During this phase, she will launch a Deadly Fog Spell. This spell curses all humans in the area, starting a timer of a minute and twenty seconds. After this timer is over, all humans in the area will be killed instantly. However, you can stagger her to deactivate this spell.
You can use Blood Well to lock Lisa in place. Then, use Burning Edge to release a ton of powerful attacks towards the body on Lisa’s back. If you deal enough damage to her, you will stagger her easily while also taking away a lot of her health. A tip is to switch to a character who is positioned behind Lisa to deal damage to her back. This can be useful as you wait for the Blood Well ability to regenerate.
Once you stagger her, you can use the combo of Blood Well and Bloody Blast abilities. You can then finish Lisa off with your Companion Rarity. With that, you have taken down Lisa in her monstrous form and completed the Undying Scorn mission in Slitterhead.
