Sniper Elite: Resistance, the highly anticipated new entry in the Sniper Elite series, is scheduled to arrive early next year. The Sniper Elite series has always been a niche among first-person and third-person shooter fans, especially those who prefer the more arcade-like single-player experiences, akin to classic Doom or Wolfenstein games.
Although the Sniper Elite series has a lot in common with Wolfenstein, thematically, it distinguishes itself with its sandbox levels and focus on precision shooting. The latest title in the franchise is no exception to this rule, promising an “unparalleled sniping, stealth, and tactical third-person combat” experience.
With the game’s looming release date, developer (and publisher) Rebellion has revealed a ton of information regarding their upcoming title. Chief among the details recently revealed are the game’s PC system requirements. Surprisingly enough, despite being a cross-generation title, Sniper Elite: Resistance boasts some pretty hefty system specifications in terms of both CPU and GPU. Here’s a look at the official PC system requirements for Sniper Elite: Resistance.
Sniper Elite: Resistance System Requirements
Sniper Elite: Resistance uses the same proprietary game engine, Asura, as the previous entries in the series. However, the engine has received some major improvements since its last outing in a Sniper Elite title. Sniper Elite: Resistance’s system requirements are a major step up compared to the previous title in the series.
This indicates that the game’s PC and current-generation console versions will offer vastly superior visuals and physics compared to the PS4/Xbox One versions. The game also features much larger maps, in both single-player and multiplayer, compared to Sniper Elite 5. Thankfully, the game’s file size remains roughly identical to that of the previous mainline title.

As of writing this article, Rebellion has only revealed the minimum specifications for the game. As for the recommended specifications, those should be revealed close to the game’s official launch, i.e., January 30, 2025. That being said, here are the official minimum PC system requirements for Sniper Elite: Resistance:
Minimum
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 or later
- Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-9400f or equivalent
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia 2060 6GB or equivalent
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 90 GB available space
Sniper Elite: Resistance File Size
Based on the game’s official PC system requirements, Sniper Elite: Resistance requires roughly 90 GB of storage space. The file size for the latest Sniper Elite isn’t surprising considering Sniper Elite 5 also required 90 GB of storage, and with the DLCs installed, the game ballooned to 120 GB on PC. Pre-loads for the game should go live close to its release. Furthermore, if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, you can get access to the game 48 hours early, i.e., on January 28, 2025.
