Devil’s Cauldron is the fifth-story mission in Sniper Elite: Resistance. In it, you will have to disable Kleine Blume production, which will involve disabling several Nazi transportation rigs. If you are having trouble with the mission, this detailed Sniper Elite: Resistance walkthrough should help you improve your gameplay.
Sniper Elite: Resistance Walkthrough: Devil’s Cauldron
The following are the objectives of this mission:
- Optional objective: Eliminate the coastal defense
- Optional objective: Sabotage Kleine Blume tanker trucks
- Primary objective: Stop Kleine Blume production
- Optional objective: Sabotage Kleine Blume U-boat
- Optional objective: Kill Eloi Coste
- Primary objective: Exit the map
Note that you must complete all primary objectives to finish the mission. However, if you are a completionist, you will want to also clear the optional goals.
1. Optional Objective: Eliminate the Coastal Defense
You should tackle this first because it is quite near where the mission begins. Head straight toward the pointer for the primary objective to stop Kleine Blume production. After proceeding a bit, you’ll come to a location with a zipline going down toward the ground from your elevated position. Use the zipline and head up the stairs on your right where you descend.
At this point, the game will automatically mark the optional objective on your map. So, keep progressing toward it. Either take down the enemies in this location or slip past them unnoticed. Keep an eye out for satchel charges in this location because you will need one to finish this objective. Soon, you will reach a small building where you’ll have to set the satchel charge in a side room.
Exit the building completely before the explosion can occur. Setting a slow charge should give you plenty of time to find your way out.
2. Optional Objective: Sabotage Kleine Blume Tanker Trucks
After completing the first optional goal, head east and you’ll hit a church building. You will find the propaganda poster for this mission on the walls of this building. Also, if you head to the basement of this building, you will find a Rifle Workbench. After that, head to the very top of the church and take the zipline down. This will take you back to the starting point.
If you can see the tunnel exit, head to the northeast and climb the stairs next to the concrete wall. You will reach a platform with two paths. Take the right path and keep moving until you reach the northern edge of the mission’s map. Here, you will find four tanker trucks that you need to take out. The best way to do this is to climb on top of the northern platform. You will get clean shots from this vantage point.
Shoot at the alarm speakers first. Then, take sniper shots at the red glowing spots on each of the tanker trucks. The satisfying explosions tell you that you have achieved this optional objective too.
3. Primary Objective: Stop Kleine Blume Production
Now, let’s move on with the primary objectives of this Sniper Elite: Resistance walkthrough. Head back to the concrete wall section you passed before and now take the left path. Keep moving eastward until you reach a door that you will have to blow open with a satchel charge. Blow the door open and press forward while taking out Nazis in the area. Make sure to kill a man wearing a white lab coat and search his body for a key.
Then, proceed downstairs and locate a safe at the base of the stairs. With the key you obtained, open the safe and retrieve the scuttle instructions. This document is mandatory, as without it you won’t be able to interact with the controls that kill the Kleine Blume production. Interacting with the control panel ends this objective.
4. Optional Objective: Sabotage Kleine Blume U-boat
After halting production, head south and quickly exit using a tunnel there. Turn left and head up the stairs, then go southeast. Here, you will find a large building where there will be a fuel line running to the U-boat. Go near the fuel line and interact with it. Then turn around and shoot at the marked fuel line. This will trigger an explosion and destroy the U-boat.
5. Optional Objective: Kill Eloi Coste
Next, head toward the west and look for a house that sits at the edge of the water. Using the hills as cover, snipe the guards in and around the house. Doing so will reveal Eloi Coste, who will try to shoot at you. Take him out to complete this objective.
6. Primary Objective: Exit the Map
You have three exfiltration points to choose from on this map. However, if you followed the order we outlined, the southwest exfiltration point should be the closest. Reach the gate and break the lock to exit the mission. Whichever exfil point you choose can be picked as a starting point if you attempt this mission a second time.
