Split Fiction chapters are divided into missions or sections. Here’s how you can complete the Hydration Facility Mission in Chapter 6.
Split Fiction has already received critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. All chapters in the game are vast and provide top-tier freedom to its players. Chapter six of the game has many intriguing and immersive levels, offering much versatility in the play style.
This specific chapter has many intricately designed levels for the players to discover and explore through, including a Hydration Facility. Here’s how you can complete the Hydration Facility mission, including the process to unlock an achievement/trophy.
When Does the Hydration Facility Mission Start?
Initiating the Hydration Facility section of Chapter Six has no specific requirement. Follow the linear path provided in the chapter, and you’ll eventually reach the facility with algae-infested water.
This will mark the beginning of the Hydration Facility level.
The Water Section
The first section of this mission is infested with water, allowing Mio to turn her drone into a boat-esque machine and Zoe will remain as a ball. With the help of Mio’s boat, the players can traverse together to solve puzzles and activate switches to progress through this section.
However, if you notice bubbles in the water, swim away as it indicates the existence of a shark; it will eat you up. Additionally, it will unlock an achievement called ‘We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat.’
Only Mio can explore the waters, and Zoe needs to be beside her. If Zoe falls into the water, she’ll die instantly and later return to the previous checkpoint.
Sidescrolling Platforming
After platforming for a few minutes through the water, you’ll eventually reach the exit. This will lead you and your partner to a level where you must maneuver through mid-air platforming until you reach the area where the camera angle changes.
Zoe will be platforming through this area while Mio controls the mechanics from the other side. Beware of the red-hot machinery; coming in contact means instadeath.
Lastly, after Zoe and Mio reunite on the other side, you’ll come across a gate that will ultimately lead you to the facility’s exit. This will conclude the mission.
