The Worlds Apart Mission is a sub-chapter in Chapter 8: Split of Split Fiction. At the beginning of the sub-chapter, Mio and Zoe are dropped into their respective sci-fi and fantasy environments. One key change you will notice is that the screen is not half-split. Instead, the split continuously adjusts as the players progress, adding an extra layer of challenge to the mission.
This change can feel disorienting for new players, but as they move through the mission, they will realize that coordination is the key to clearing this mission. Here is how you can complete the Worlds Apart Mission in the Split Chapter of Split Fiction.
Overview of Worlds Apart Mission
Take small steps on the platform until Zoe reaches in front of a massive stone door. Mio will also navigate through metal discs and pipes to arrive at the same spot. Both players must rotate the lever near the door to open it.
Once inside, continue up the stairs; eventually, you will spot a bridge. Zoe will cross the bridge by hopping on the platforms, and Mio will walk beneath to reach an open area. Additionally, you have to avoid fires along the way, and you will eventually reach the water’s edge.
Use Zoe’s ability to open the mouths of the three snake statues. At the same time, Mio will aim the three cannons into the snakes’ mouths. Zoe will then jump onto the cannons to reach a platform. Upon arrival, you will notice some moving shells in the water. Hop from one shell to the next to cross the water. Meanwhile, Mio will be in front of a conveyor belt and must jump the mines to reach the other side. Once there, interact with the switches to make the platform move.
This platform will take you to a vertical tower. Next, you need to climb the tower as quickly as possible. While this part of the obstacle course will appear different to both players, the position of the obstacles remains the same. Use the side walls to help you reach the top of the tower. Once you are at the top, interact with the switches that match your character’s colour. This will cause Rader to emerge and demolish the stage. Finally, the next challenge, Cross Section, will begin.
