Similar to the original Stalker game, the sequel offers anomalies that can make your journey tough. The Zone is a dangerous place and the anomalies add an extra layer of difficulty to prevent you from progressing. Unlike other environmental hazards, you can’t exactly defeat these anomalies but you can avoid or dodge them and also removing in rare cases.

Anomalies are distortions in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl that can activate when you run into their path or are available in their range. Most Anomalies are natural and you can easily bypass them by walking around them or running in the opposite direction. What makes the anomalies dangerous is that they start running in their set path and some start targeting you if you enter their vicinity. Some anomalies are far more dangerous than they seem because they deal heavy damage and can kill you after two triggers.
Use the bolt to deal with the anomalies and use them to trigger the Anomaly and make your way through while it respawns. You’ll have a few seconds before it returns, so utilize this time to pass through it without taking any damage. Open the inventory to see the unlimited bolts there. Pay close attention to identifying some anomalies that are nearby or listen to the beeper on your scanner. What is the use of Anomalies in STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl?
Artifacts mainly spawn in the numerous types of Anomalies in the Zone. To get the Artifacts, you will have to use the Echo Detector to track the Artifact in the Anomaly. After that, as you get to the location of the Artifact within the Anomaly, it will drop on the ground and you can pick it up. Anomalies like Thermal, Acid, Chemical, Electro, and Gravitational are a few of the most common that you will encounter while exploring the Zone.
You can encounter most of the Anomalies at the Point of Interest marks on the map. Travel to the “?” mark on the map to possibly encounter an Anomaly and equip the Echo Detector in the left hand. If the detector shows a Blue Light with the beeping, it means there is a guaranteed Artifact in the Anomaly. However, if you do not see any Blue Light but hear beeping, then it is just the Anomaly.
