Store Affinity is one of the most important gameplay mechanics in Stellar Blade. Here’s our article on how to increase it.
Stellar Blade paints a bleak picture of a post-apocalyptic Earth. Shift Up’s latest hack ‘n’ slash action RPG takes place in a world where the last remnants of humanity live in space. Moreover, the planet has become a desolate wasteland with few people remaining.
You play as EVE, a 7th Airborne Squad member, as part of Earth’s defence force to reclaim the planet from its alien invaders called Naytiba. The game not only features fast-paced combat to test players’ reflexes, but also has multiple mechanics that aren’t forthrightly explained. Just when you thought fighting soulslike bosses was enough, the game throws layers of new mechanics at you. One such important gameplay mechanic is Store Affinity.
What is Store Affinity?
Store Affinity is one of the easier affinity systems to understand. The mechanic is about your relationship progress with the different store owners in the world. While playing the game, you will eventually come across three stores. Each store has its unique affinity progress related to it.
Increase Store Affinity in Stellar Blade
To purchase the best possible items in the game, you must max out your Store Affinity. The easiest way to increase it is by purchasing items from the store owners. This increases your affinity with each merchant. The maximum level of affinity that can be attained with each merchant is Level 3.
You can check your Store Affinity with each store owner after interacting with them. It is always shown on the top right side of the screen. Store Affinity is the key to unlocking rare items and resources in Stellar Blade. Moreover, the more expensive the item, the more Store Affinity you gain after purchasing it.
Once your affinity is at Level 3, you will start noticing that the store owners start selling EVE more valuable items. There is also a shift in the merchants’ dialogue. After maxing out your affinity with each store owner, they will start talking to EVE in a much friendlier manner.
