Although Stellar Blade is releasing on PC after a year, it might still not be playable in over 100 countries for some unknown reasons.

Stellar Blade’s PC port was long awaited by fans of the game for a multitude of reasons. However, it seems there is now a hurdle you must overcome if you wish to play this game. For some reason, Stellar Blade’s PC port is region locked on Steam.
This extends to over 100 countries, so you should check your region’s Steam store to see if the game is available for purchase or not.

Although the PC port for Stellar Blade comes with a bunch of highly anticipated features, these features won’t be accessible to some. Stellar Blade developers, SHIFT UP, have acknowledged this issue and have talked about working this out. In the same post above, they also talked about incorporating DRM protection in the game and also mentioned the PlayStation Network account linking to be optional.
Still, there is some time before the game’s PC launch on June 11, 2025. We can only hope that this issue is resolved between SHIFT UP and Sony.
Why Is Stellar Blade Region Locked and Not Playable in Over 100 Countries?
This issue likely stems from the PlayStation Network account linking, which can be done with certain games. This region lock problem has been seen in the past with other games published by Sony.
This includes games like God of War: Ragnarok, Spiderman 2, and Ghost of Tsushima, to name a few. The regions where these games are not playable are quite similar. Helldivers 2 was also widely affected due to making the PlayStation Network account linking mandatory. However, that issue was later resolved.
Although linking your PSN account with Stellar Blade is not a mandatory requirement, this issue still seems to persist. Hopefully, you can enjoy this game from anywhere in the coming days.
