Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is one of the most anticipated games, with gamers and content creators waiting for its Fall 2025 console release. One of the most hotly debated topics about the game is its alleged $100 pricing. Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel weighed in on the conversation, alleging gamers were being hypocritical by criticizing the game’s price.

xQc claimed that gamers buy early access titles, half-baked games, and spend “$300 worth of skins” a year. He thinks $100 is a fair price for GTA 6, considering it is “the most anticipated polished product.”

Readers should note that Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed GTA 6’s pricing. The online discussions around the game’s $100 price tag surfaced from rumors. The game is expected to get an official release date trailer at Summer Games Fest on June 7, 2025.

xQc Calls Out Gamers for Criticizing GTA 6’s Pricing

On March 10, 2025, xQc shared a meme that claimed GTA 6 will be priced at $100. He said:

“Gamers will buy 5 early access, half baked $140 games and sprinkle $300 worth of skins in a year, but when a AAA company goes all out and take their time to make the most anticipated polished product we know they can make, suddenly $100 is too much? Stop talking”

The streamer called out gamers for allegedly spending hundreds of dollars on microtransactions while also criticizing GTA 6’s pricing. xQc was one of the top GTA 5 streamers when the GTA 5 NoPixel server went viral. He has posted over 150 videos of GTA Roleplay content on his gaming channel on YouTube and talks about how excited he is for GTA 6.

The Streamer Previously Claimed He Played GTA 6 Online

In March 2022, xQc had another viral moment talking about GTA 6. He told his audience on stream:

“I played a little bit of an undisclosed game. I was too busy playing a game that doesn’t exist. It’s not even real. I don’t know what I’m talking about right now. What am I talking about?”

While the streamer made it clear he was joking, others fell for the prank. He added:

“It’s going to be the best roleplay system of all time. Of all time. It is nuts, guys. You can rob banks, you can pretend to be police, and they even let you shoot civilians in the game without saying anything. They said ‘we want true roleplay, life-like fidelity’ is what they said. It is the most advanced, cutting-edge roleplay I’ve seen in the longest time playing games”.

GTA 6 will launch during Fall 2025, and there is no confirmed release date yet. Fans can expect Rockstar Games to announce the official release date in the coming months.
