Not only does it allow you to upgrade nearly every one of your tools, but you can sell some to customers at the Bazaar for huge profits. Unfortunately, the Gold Ore nodes spawn very rarely, making them difficult and time-consuming to find.

Gold Ore Locations in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar
You can find Gold Ore nodes anywhere on the map where ores can spawn, as all of them generate randomly. However, most of the mining spots are challenging to reach, as you need to have strong wind (two arrows) to access them using the Glider. To save some time, you refer to the image above to locate all the locations where ores spawn on the map. Note that you have to visit each area to check if the Gold Ore node has spawned or not.
To mine the node, you need a Silver Hatchet, which can be obtained using the Yellow Windmill. In addition to mining, you can buy Gold Ore from the Emp-ore-ium shop at the Bazaar for 2,800 Gold after reaching Bazaar Rank 4. Lastly, some mounds on the ground can be dug for treasure, and there is a minimal chance for it to be an ore node, including Gold Ore.
