Tools are important pieces of equipment that allow you to gather items or perform specific actions in the game. Fortunately, the tutorial of Grand Bazaar provides you with a basic set of every tool, which you can further upgrade using windmills.
There are some changes to the tools in the Story of Seasons version compared to the previous title on Nintendo DS. One example is the Hatchet, which combines the features of the Hammer and Axe from Harvest Moon. This allows you to gather materials around the map easily without having to switch tools frequently.

Function of Every Tool in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar
There are a total of eight tools available in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar. As you progress through the first few days, an NPC knocks on your door to hand you a specific tool. Here are all of them:

| Brush | Available on the 5th of Spring | Use the brush on animals to increase friendship with them once per day. |
| Fishing Rod | Available on the 7th of Spring | You can stand near water bodies to catch fish. |

Upgrading Tools in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar
The tools you obtain during the tutorial are at a base level only and require upgrading. Note that each one can progress to the Gold tier, which can be achieved by using the windmills located around the town. Windmills unlock as you progress through the game and can be done quite easily, as you have to rely on crafting items to earn lots of money and reputation for your Bazaar.
