Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon has a ton of quests for you to complete. These quests grant you rewards while also expanding on the lore of Avalon itself. While most quests in the game tend to be one-and-done, the Alchemist Guild provides you with a series of quests that span a much longer course of the game.
The Alchemist Guild questline has a total of 12 quests you need to complete. These quests span multiple regions, and each grants lucrative rewards. They’re also tied to achievements and trophies, so if you’re looking to 100 percent the game, you can’t miss out on these. How To Complete the Alchemist Guild Questline in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon
The Lenses and Eye of the Sage
You begin the Alchemist Guild questline by talking to Jann Heber in the main castle area in Horns of the South. The local medic will ask you to look into an ancient druidic ritual, kicking off The Lenses and Eye of the Sage quest. Purchase venison, onion, and garlic, and head to the ritual site to perform the ritual.
Black Tar Prophecies
Once done, head back to Heber and inform him of the ritual to begin the Black Tar Prophecies quest. Heber needs you to find someone well-versed in druidic rituals to restore Cromlech to its original state. Head to the beach down near the castle, and talk to Drest.
Follow Drest to the Ritual site, and he will summon Iona. You will then be given the choice to side with Iona and kill Drest, or side with Drest to kill the spirit. You can pick either, as the choices have no impact on the overarching questline. Return to Heber, and he will tell you more about the guild.
Whispers in the Dark
The next quest is automatically marked on your map after you finish talking to Heber. Head to the Mistbearer’s Den on the top of the map, and head inside to Taranis. Talk to the NPC to begin the Whispers in the Dark quest. Head inside the Ancient Cave and defeat the Mistbearer boss. Return to Taranis with the remains to complete the quest.

Behind the Curtains
Taranis will mention Eckhart’s journals and will direct you to retrieve them. Head over to Eckhart’s Cave, and lockpick the door to your left after entering. Sneak past enemies and loot the table to your right to retrieve all the journals. Return to Taranis and hand over the journals to complete the quest. He will then ask you to meet him later at the statue of the Harpist near Cuanacht.
Over My Dead Bodies
Head over to the designated meeting spot and talk to Taranis. He will ask you to find Caelum and retrieve his research, kicking off the Over My Dead Bodies quest. Head to Celum’s House and sneak into the basement. You will find an NPC trapped here. Free the NPC by destroying the plant and return to Taranis to complete the quest.
The Price of Perfection
Talk to Taranis, and he will ask you to find Phaidros, kicking off The Price of Perfection. Head to Phaidros’ Lab, which is marked on the map, and talk to him to complete the quest. Talk to Phaidros again to begin the next chain of quests.

Fragments of Humanity
When you talk to Phaidros, he will ask you to locate a Fae named Foxglove. He wants you to retrieve the Fae’s heart. Once you find the Fae, you will have the choice to either kill it or lead it to Phaidros. You can choose either option, as they have no effect on the overarching questline.
Aberrant Mines
Once you’re done with Phaidros, you will be introduced to Alma, kicking off the Aberrant Mines quest. Alma will give you the simple task of killing three monsters and retrieving their brains. All three of these monsters are marked on the map and are easy to kill. Retrieve their brains and return them to Alma to complete the quest.

Misgivings
Talk to Alma, and she will direct you towards Dal Riata, a contact of hers. Head to Dal Riata’s location in the Forlorn Swords. Talk to Dal Riata and return to Alma. Tell her of the exchange in Forlorn Swords to complete the quest and move on to the next.
Unfolding, Extinction of the Weak
After talking to Alma, your job is to find Dolf as part of the Unfolding quest. Head to Dolf’s Hut in the Forlorn Swords. The location is marked on your map. Talk to Dolf to complete the quest and begin the Extinction of the Weak quest.
In Extinction of the Weak, Dolf wants you to retrieve 5x Frostgot Mucus. Head over to any of the water bodies on the map and kill the snails to acquire the ingredient. You will then have the choice to let Dolf test his research on you. We advise against this, as there’s a bug that stops you from finishing the quest if you agree to be a test subject. Refuse Dolf’s request and return to Alma to complete the quest.
The Baneful Choir
Talk to Alma, and she will ask you to speak to Heledd, kicking off The Baneful Choir. Head to the location of the Alchemist Guild Head and talk to Heledd. Heledd will tell you of her creation, the Effigy. Kill the Effigy to complete the quest. Completing the Baneful Choir also completes the Alchemist Guild questline.
