Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is an RPG that lets players explore many difficulty options. This is not just a cosmetic change. In fact, all the difficulty settings let players explore new gameplay experiences. The choice is there to provide a memorable experience for gamers of all calibers and priorities. Those who are playing for the intense gameplay can pick the harder settings, while others can have a laid-back experience and enjoy the story without challenging gameplay.

Difficulty Settings in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

There are mainly six difficulty modes in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Players can select them based on what aspect of the game they prioritize. There is no additional gameplay feature that you will miss out on if you select one difficulty. However, there will be some drastic changes to your overall experience. No matter what difficulty you pick, some skills are better than others. With that said, you can choose from the following options:

  • Story Mode
  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Hard
  • Survival
  • Hardcore

During Story Mode, the combat in the game is forgiving. The enemies in this mode are not that threatening to your player. So, if you wish to explore the game world and story without much of a challenge.

Selecting Easy mode will make the world of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon a bit more difficult. For the most part, the enemies don’t deal enough damage, and your stamina is more durable.

Normal mode is the default difficulty setting for players when starting Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. As the name of the setting suggests, everything will be balanced. Resources, enemies, and survival mechanics will be somewhat challenging.

If you are slightly experienced in action RPGs, select Hard difficulty. Enemies will deal more damage, and resources are scarce. It will no longer be just about exploring mindlessly. Now players will need to strategize their moves.

The Survival mode doesn’t change a lot about the enemies. There will be no additional strength assigned to them. However, you will find that exploration and combat have a better risk-reward system now.

Lastly, if you wish to make the game even more immersive, Hardcore may be for you. It includes the permadeath feature. This means your saved file will no longer be accessible once your character dies in the game. It is not necessarily more difficult than the Survival difficulty, but the “permadeath” raises the stakes.
