Your journey in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon begins with you escaping the Island Asylum, getting caught up in a storm, and landing on the shores of the Horns of the South. As you seek refuge within the Keep, you immediately earn the suspicion of the Quartermaster, Fearghas. 

To earn the Quartermaster’s trust and proceed with the story, you need to investigate a mysterious rise of the undead in a cemetery. Investigating the root cause of the undead leads you into a crypt, where you’re immediately greeted by Huardoc, the crypt’s keeper. Huardoc informs you of a Necromancer within, who turns out to be at the root of the issue. As you make your way to Yorath, the Necromancer, you stumble across a gate leading to the Inner Crypt. This gate is locked and cannot be weaseled through with a simple lockpick.

You find the Inner Crypt by taking the path heading left shortly after meeting Huardoc. Keep your eyes peeled to the left, and you will see a locked door. Trying to interact with the door will give you the prompt to use the Inner Crypt Key. 

To acquire the Inner Crypt Key, you first need to head over to Yorath. Head to the Necromancer and listen to his monologue about death. Follow through with the conversation, and he will refuse to step down. Return back to Huardoc and tell him about the stubborn nature of his master. The keeper will then tell you about the intricacies of death. Relay this information to Yorath, and he will recognize the errors of his ways, choosing to reform for the better.

Once Yorath leaves, head back to Huardoc and talk to him. Ask Huardoc about his past masters, and he will tell you about the Inner Crypt. He will then hand over the Inner Crypt Key to you, which you can use to unlock the gate.
