As stated earlier, you need to acquire the correct tool before you can get to mining in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon. Make your way to the main castle area in the Horns of the South region. Enter this area using the east gate, and then take the first right to find a stall with a woman behind it. Talk to the woman, Orlaith, and purchase the Pickaxe for 16 Gold.
If you’re somehow short on money, there is a way to get the Pickaxe for free. Head back to the starting area with the beach. Follow the road along the beach, and you will run into a man picking away at ores. Talk to the man, Horst, and he will lend you a Pickaxe.
Once you’ve acquired the Pickaxe, head over to any of the ores across the map. The game will then prompt you to press a button to mine. Press the ‘E’ key to mine if playing on PC. If on PlayStation or Xbox, press the X and A buttons respectively.
