The Stuck in the Cycle quest in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon requires you to convince a prison guard to release an NPC named Berach. 

As you explore the world of Avalon, you will come across different types of people, each with their own problems and struggles. You will even meet several NPCs in multiple scenarios, such as Berach. While you helped him once before, the knight requires your help once again. This time, you need to get him out of prison.

How To Complete Stuck in the Cycle Side Quest in Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon

Find and Talk to Berach at the Prison

To initiate the Stuck in the Cycle side quest, you need to find Berach and talk to him. You can find him imprisoned at the Cuanacht prison, located in the Lower City. Upon talking to him, you will learn that the guards have locked him up for causing a public nuisance, such as yelling and throwing stones at crows. He pleads for your help to get him out, promising he won’t repeat such behavior.

Get Berach Out of Prison

After talking to Berach, head upstairs and talk to Flann, the prison guard. Upon asking to release Berach, the guard refuses to let him go, as he hasn’t paid the fine amount. Flann will inform you that he will release Berach if you pay his charges of 5,000 gold coins. However, if you ask for an alternative method, Flann offers you a different solution. Prepare the Kamelot Delicacy recipe (requires Honey, Potato, and Venison) along with Ale. He assures you that he will release Berach upon receiving the meal and drink.

Convince Flann To Release Berach

Paying the fine of 5,000 gold coins simply releases Berach from prison and ends the quest immediately. Instead, choosing the alternative method commences a new subquest called “Bribe It On,” which involves cooking a Kamelot Delicacy and Ale for Flann. You can choose whichever method you prefer, as both can get the job done. Once you convince Flann with either method, he agrees to set Berach free. Return to Berach to deliver the good news and instruct him to leave Cuanacht. This completes the Stuck in the Cycle side quest.
