Popular streamer and former OTK member Tectone says Twitch is “cooked” after HasanAbi got unbanned within a day.

Popular streamer and former OTK member John “Tectone” has spoken against Twitch’s decision to unban Hasan “HasanAbi” after one day. Hasan was banned on Twitch on March 3, 2025, after the streamer made controversial comments on the platform. John stated that Twitch’s decision to unban Hasan is “insane” as he was banned for suggesting to “kill” Senator Rick Scott. Tectone mentioned that some VTubers get banned for a longer period for lesser violations. Tectone found the situation hilarious and stated that Twitch is “cooked.”
“a 1 day ban for calling for the death of a senator is insane I’ve seen Vtubers showing too much hips get banned for 2 weeks I aint gon lie this shit funny af twitch is cooked Anyways, hassan come on my podcast so we can talk about anime”

John has also invited HasanAbi to his new podcast that features some “controversial” guests. The streamer had previously been vocal against Hasan as he spoke out against Hasan’s stance on Asmongold. John was involved in a public feud with popular Twitch streamer Frogan, who is an associate of HasanAbi. The streamer also seemingly mocked Frogan after Hasan was banned on the platform. Apart from Tectone, several streamers have been vocal against Twitch’s decision.
Tectone’s Previous Criticism of HasanAbi
While Tectone has invited Hasan on his podcast about anime, the streamer has been vocal against HasanAbi on several occasions. Earlier in February, Tectone claimed that Hasan gets away with most of the controversial things because he is “cute” and “handsome.”
Meanwhile, he also accused Hasan of character assassination after the latter made comments about Asmongold being the number one political commentator on Twitch. John believed that due to Hasan’s disagreement with Asmon, he has resorted to character assassination.
“By the way, the reason why this clip is blowing the f**k up completely out of context is due to the fact that Hasan is very petty that Asmongold gets more viewers than him without even f**king trying. So, he’s doing another character assassination on somebody else he disagrees with.”

The streamer later presented his stance about streamers having an agenda of destroying their competitors’ reputations. He claimed that rather than reporting the truth, streamers have started to care more about their clicks and views.
“I feel like too many streamers have agendas to destroy their competitions reputation Rather than just report on the truth and inform/entertain their audience I don’t see this issue going away.”

Asmongold has stated that he had no involvement in HasanAbi’s recent ban, despite him stating that he would contact Amazon’s top executive.
