In this guide, we explain Report Cards in Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and what role they play for your character.

In Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, you play as Takumi while he attends school. Even though his life isn’t that of a normal teenager, you’d still think he’d have to attend classes while in the Academy. While that doesn’t seem to be on his list of priorities, the game does have a cool Report Card system that allows you to improve Takumi’s grades in different subjects.
This article will look at Report Cards in Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, including what they are, how you can improve your grades in the various subjects, and how improved grades help.
What Are Report Cards in Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy?

When you pause the game or open up the game’s map, you’ll see an option to check out Takumi’s Report Card. Although you can view the Report Card for other team members, it just shows their likes and dislikes, but no information on their grades in specific subjects. Opening Takumi’s Report Card shows five subjects — Social Studies, Linguistics, Science, Math, and Gym. Each of these subjects is divided into two sub-categories.
The following table lists what they are:
Subject Name | Sub-category 1 | Sub-category 2 |
Math | Calculation | Analysis |
Science | Investigation | Technology |
Gym | Endurance | Mobility |
Social Studies | Observation | Exploration |
Linguistics | Literacy | Creativity |
Your grades improve in each subject when you build up points in the subject’s respective sub-categories. So, if you want to get better at Science, you’ll need to earn points in either Investigation or Technology, or both.
Improving your grades is essential for various reasons. These include:
- Higher grades will allow you to access better power-ups when you upgrade weapons for your teammates in the Training Room. As you progress through the game, you’ll need to improve your grades in certain subjects to open up the more powerful upgrades. The game also shows you which subjects you need to get better at to improve a particular character’s weapons. Find this info in the bottom left corner when inside the Upgrade Menu.
- While out exploring and looking for useful items in the world, you’ll also find Chance Cards, which are skill checks that rely on your grades in specific subjects. For instance, you might have the chance to evade certain obstacles in your path using a Chance Card only if your Gym grade is high enough.

How To Earn Points for Report Card Subjects

There are several ways you can improve your grades in certain subjects:
1) Talk To Teammates
In your Free Time, you’ll find your classmates all across the School map. If one or more of them have a green icon on the map next to their names, you can talk to them to raise your grades. Talking to them will take away one whole Free Time slot from your kitty. In return, you’ll raise a subject’s grade by a point or two. Every classmate will be able to improve your grades by a total of six points. The distribution of these six points could be for one particular subject. In some cases, the points could be distributed over two different sub-categories. This depends on the teammate you talk to and their interests.
2) Give Gifts To Teammates
If you want a substantial boost in the number of points you gain per interaction, we’d suggest giving teammates a present. Find out what a particular teammate likes and then fashion a gift for them that caters to their interests. You will find information about their likes from the character’s Report Card section.
3) Unlock the Library and Read Books
You will get access to the Library starting Day 020. Once the room opens up, Takumi can spend his Free Time reading books to raise his grades. You will need to spend two whole Free Time slots to finish reading a book. You can reread books too, but the points you gain will diminish every time after the first read through.
