Upgrades in The King Is Watching are essentially tied to its gameplay loop. The roguelite kingdom builder lets people prioritize which upgrades they want to acquire first. This feature lets you switch things up in each run, not to forget the fact that the events change in every playthrough.

Best Upgrades in The King Is Watching
Whenever you complete a run, you will unlock an upgrade. You don’t have to have a successful run in order to get an upgrade. If you make good upgrade choices, you will progress faster. 1. Tile Seals
When players jump into The King Is Watching, they will want to pay attention to the Tile Seals upgrade first. It increases the production of tiles that they are installed on. Since the increment increases the production by a certain percentage, you will obtain the resources quickly and use them when the need arises. You can find these upgrades in the red and yellow upgrade trees.
2. Banish the Nobles
In each run, your kingdom will have a parameter of tiles that are unusable. These are occupied by Nobles. You should get rid of them as a priority to free up tiles for your kingdom and help you strategize better. Don’t worry, though. Removing them won’t create an issue. They are useless for your kingdom anyway.
3. Advisor Slot
The King Is Watching gives you Advisors to help run your kingdom smoothly. These Advisors give you passive bonuses during each run. The best part is that there is a lot of variety to choose from. However, there is a small drawback. If you wish to field more than one Advisor at a time, you will have to get more advisor slots. You can get these in the blue upgrade tree.
