How To Unlock Tommy in The Last of Us 2 Remastered (No Return)
Unlocking new characters in The Last of Us 2 Remastered makes the gameplay feel refreshing. For Tommy, in the No Return mode, you must complete at least three encounters with Jesse.
Doing this will give you access to Tommy, who can only be used as a long-range character. Since he’s a character who relies on his sniper, using Tommy comes with many downsides.
Tommy’s Abilities in The Last of Us 2 Remastered (No Return)
With such developed infantry skills from surviving throughout the story, Tommy comes in strong with his sniper. Unfortunately, Tommy is solely built for sniping, and using him in close-quarters combat will be more than a liability.
For his gear, Tommy packs a completely customizable sniper rifle that you can use, allowing you to pierce through enemies. However, if you ever try to execute on an enemy with melee, he won’t be able to dodge.
Here are some of the upgrades you can make to Tommy’s abilities at the Workbench, further progressing the Marksman Upgrade Branch:
- Craft Hunting Pistol ammo – You can use Explosive and Blade resources to craft ammo for Tommy.
- Craft more Hunting Pistol ammo – This ability allows Tommy to craft more hunting pistol ammo with fewer resources.
- Craft Incendiary Shells – The double-barrel shotgun will be able to use incendiary shells.
- Craft more Incendiary Shells – This ability allows Tommy to craft more incendiary Shells with fewer resources.
