Some upgrades in The Precinct are simply better than others and should be prioritized. Here are a few to pay attention to.

The Precinct gives us a chance to make our gameplay experience better by including upgrades in the gameplay. Players first need to earn XP to get Upgrade Tokens. There are many upgrades you can unlock once you have obtained the required number of tokens. Earning these tokens is simple. Just earn XP by doing lawful arrests, issuing traffic tickets, and other “good cop” activities. Reaching a certain amount of XP will grant you an Upgrade Token. However, if you are not being responsible or ethical, you will lose XP too.

Best Upgrades in The Precinct

There are many upgrades to choose from in the game. When looking at the bigger picture, they are all equally important. However, the ones we are presenting in the list below should be at the top of your priority list:

  • Timed Breath
  • Commandeer
  • Riding Shotgun
  • Intimidating Order
  • Tracking

Those who wish to know the explanation behind all these entries on the list can continue reading below.

The stamina bar shows up on the screen in blue whenever you are sprinting in the game. The game will give you several on-foot duties that require you to run. At times, things might go south and the suspect may look for an escape on foot. In these circumstances, your stamina comes in handy. While expanding your max stamina is possible, it is not a good long-term solution. The Timed Breath upgrade gives you a moving indicator on the stamina bar as soon as it drops below 50%. This minigame lets you regain the stamina while sprinting, including a movement boost!

2. Commandeer

If you are a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, you will love the Commandeer upgrade. Basically, it lets you drive any vehicle when out on the streets of Averno City. It will give you a badge that lets you drive a civilian vehicle as a police vehicle. It is also useful in certain situations, especially when a chase begins and you are not near your car. Or it might be as fun as driving a good-looking vehicle just for fun.

3. Riding Shotgun

If you are driving through an area infested with gang members, they might open fire at you. You will have your pistol to fire back even while in the car. However, the Riding Shotgun upgrade will let you use any weapon you have while driving. This is a pretty effective upgrade in the game, especially during chase sequences.

4. Intimidating Order

If you are a cop who likes to keep things civil and peaceful in Averno City, Intimidating Order will help you out a lot. It helps in making your shouts and attempts at stopping a culprit more effective. Your chases, whether on foot or in a vehicle, will get much easier if your suspects listened to you 35% better.

5. Tracking

When you are on cop duty, you will often find yourself in chases that require you to be in two places at the same time. Unfortunately, that’s not how things can be done. So, acquiring the Tracking upgrade will help you keep track of the target you were not following all this while. That target will remain on the minimap for 50% longer than the usual duration.
