The latest 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is a minor update, contrary to the community hype for a new DLC. A couple of side quests related to the four new vehicles, performance improvements, and more photo mode options are present. But the update size, around 20 GB, seems too big. Could they have added something else?

Here are 5 things you might’ve missed in the Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update.

5 Things You Missed in Cyberpunk 2.3 Update

1. More Weaponized Vehicles

The latest Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update features two new weaponized vehicles. The community had asked for weaponized vehicles for a long time, and after 2.0, there seem to be more variants of these vehicles in the game. Two of the four vehicles added in the game, the Chevillon Legatus 450 and the Aquila, both feature front-facing machine guns but no rockets.

The Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila is a massive truck meant to be violent. It can run down most other vehicles, even if it’s much slower. Now, with two machine guns on the front, the truck is the most fun to drive around while spreading chaos in the city.

The Rayfield Caliburn “Mordred” is a supercar with guns. Fast, armored, and sleek with guns might be what you need against MaxTac. The car’s design is similar to the Rayfield Caliburn, but it has guns and cool lighting. The addition of new weaponized vehicles means that there might be more to come. But as CD Projekt RED has announced they have stopped production for the game, keeping expectations low might be the best thing.

2. New Easter Egg

The Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru might be the best vehicle in this patch, but did you know this fast car was shown earlier in the game too? The concept art for this vehicle was included in the concept art for Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC Phantom Liberty and the second issue of the comic Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown. In-game lore also suggests that the vehicle is a legend in Night City, even acknowledged by Johnny Silverhand.

3. No Passengers for You

If you want a solo ride without Johnny Silverhand sitting beside you, you can now prompt him to stay away from the passenger seat for a few days. Before this update, Johnny Silverhand used to throw out some snarky comments and lore tidbits about different parts of the city. This was a nice touch to learning more about the game, but for a player already 150 hours in, it can be a bit tiring.

4. Cyberware Shards Increased Drop Rate

Cyberware Shards had an upper limit for how much they dropped in the game. This led to players missing some and capping themselves due to the shards no longer dropping. The 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077 increases the drop rates if players have missed the shards earlier in the game. This will help players reach maximum Cyberware capacity.

5. Cyberpunk 2077 on Mac

Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 will also be released for Mac users on the Mac App Store and other app platforms. Gaming on a Mac was difficult, but the recent chip upgrades from Apple are contenders to modern PC chips for gaming. Cyberpunk 2077 being available on the Mac Store means that future games might also release universally on the Mac platform.
