Nickmercs joined FaZe Clan in 2019 and announced that he will be leaving the Clan after almost five years. In a post dated January 10, 2024, he stated that he is no longer with the clan. He also informed—there were no issues and that it was time to move on. The post read:

“I wanna let y’all know that we are no longer with FaZe Clan. No issues with them whatsoever, it’s just that time to move forward. Y’all know I gotta lot of love for Banks, Tommy, Rug, Apex etc & wish them & the boys all the best. Beyond grateful for the memories & achievements we had together.”

Stating that he would return from his holiday break on January 14, 2025, Nickmercs had shared his plans for the year ahead. The post also reflected his relationship with other clan members as he expressed his gratitude towards them.

FaZe Clan also shared a post on X sharing the same announcement, stating that Nickmercs joined the clan at the “worst possible time.” They also appreciated him for being “fully supportive” of FaZe Clan’s new vision and rooting for their comeback. The post read:

“NickMercs, you joined FaZe at the worst possible time. The fact we made it 5 years with you just goes to show what kind of a guy you are. We clicked almost immediately and always felt like you were truly one of the boys. “Cut from the same cloth” if you will. You repped this FaZe shit and rode through the absolute worst period of its existence. Fucking love you. Obviously over the last year FaZe has taken a whole new direction and it has made less and less sense to keep Nick around. He’s been fully supportive of the new vision and been rooting on the comeback harder than anyone.”
