Titan Quest 2 has a ton of skills that you can use, but at the moment, the Ice Shards skill remains a clear winner. This is the strongest skill in the game currently, and we expect this to be nerfed because of how broken it is.
The Ice Shards skill walks the thin line of being perfect for solo attacks and crowd control attacks extremely well, and is only made stronger with the various modifications you can pick. Best Ice Shards Modifications In Titan Quest 2
Torrent
The very first Ice Shards modification that you need to pick is the Torrent modification. What this modification does is that it adds extra projectiles to your attack, making them even more lethal. This is doubly lethal when using the weapon in close range because the enemies up close are hit by most of the projectiles, likely killing them in one hit. You can level this modification up five times, and you should prioritize doing so.

Frost Explosion
The second modification we recommend picking up is the Frost Explosion modification. The Frost Explosion makes frozen enemies explode whenever you hit them. This adds an AOE element to your attacks and can trickle through entire mobs. This skill modification isn’t good enough on its own, however. Once you unlock this modification, we recommend acquiring the Ice Nova skill, which freezes enemies. The Ice Nova skill will perfectly synergize with the Frost Explosion.
Projectile Penetration
The Projectile Penetration modification for the Ice Shard Skill allows your shards to penetrate targets with a 20 percent boost to projectile speed, but at the cost of 20 percent less damage. While the tradeoff may seem harsh, it quickly becomes negligible towards the end of the game, where your base stats are strong enough to help you push through. This modification makes the Ice Shard even more potent at dealing with mobs.
