In this guide, we’ll explore the exact locations of all three Desolate Shore Strange Coins in Titan Quest 2, and what to do with them.
Titan Quest 2 has a lot of side quests that you can pursue. However, the game deals with these quests a bit differently than most traditional RPGs do. Many of the game’s side quests don’t just appear in your journal, so you can’t simply track them and refer to your map to understand where you need to go next. Instead, you might need to heed the clues given to you by the quest giver and figure things out yourself.
At other times, the quest might begin when you find one of the items tied to that mission, and you’ll have to search nearby for the rest of the items to complete the quest. An example of this is when you find your first Strange Coin while exploring the Desolate Shore region. In this guide, we’ll take a look at all three locations of the Desolate Shore Strange Coins in Titan Quest 2.
Locations of All Desolate Shore Strange Coins in Titan Quest 2
As we said before, there are three Strange Coins in the area. You’ll need to collect all three of them before you can receive the reward for collecting them. Fortunately, you don’t need to scour the entirety of the huge Desolate Shore region, since all of the coins are located in the western part of this area.
First Strange Coin Location
Immediately upon starting off at the Desolate Shore, head west. Soon, you will reach a bend in the shoreline and face off against a few enemies. One of them will drop the first Strange Coin.
Second Strange Coin Location
From the first coin’s location, keep heading west until you reach a spot where the path forks into two roads leading north. Here, fighting off one of the enemies will let you retrieve the second Strange Coin.
Third Strange Coin Location
Head north after picking up the second coin. You will eventually run into an enemy group just south of the area where the quest On a Strange Shore plays out. One of the foes will drop the third and final Strange Coin for you to pick up.

What To Do With the Desolate Shore Strange Coins in Titan Quest 2?
After you’ve collected all three coins, you will need to head to the southwestern part of Desolate Shore. You can head to the location of the second coin and then keep heading west until you reach the dead end. You will find a statue there with three pedestals. Beware that there are some enemies in this area, and you’ll have to clear them before proceeding.
Next, place one Strange Coin on each of the pedestals. In return, you’ll receive a piece of loot, which is a rare armor piece. The exact armor you receive will depend on your Masteries. Alongside the armor piece, you also get 2,276 XP for completing this side quest.
