In this guide, we shall go over how to complete the Queen of the Mountain quest in Titan Quest 2, a Fated Quest in the game.
Your journey in Titan Quest 2 begins under the mentorship of Aristonoe. She’s been training you for years and now wants you to finish off the Gryphon that has been terrorizing the land. The Gryphon’s hold on the land is so tight that she has spawned a whole cult that does her bidding. You spend the first hour or so of Titan Quest 2 simply scouting the area for the Gryphon, frequently running into her cult.
As you go about doing so, you finally learn the location of her nest, kicking off the Queen of the Mountain quest in the game. The ‘Queen of the Mountain’ quest is relatively short but is fairly challenging. This quest will present you with your first proper boss encounter, and it does not hold back in any way. How To Complete the Queen of the Mountain Quest in Titan Quest 2
You begin the Queen of the Mountain quest by making your way to Mount Proti. The Gryphon’s nest is up top, and it is finally time to put an end to her treachery. Head up Mount Proti, and cut through Proti Village. The village is under attack, so you’ll have to fend the cultists off as part of the Defend Proti Village quest.
Once that’s done, the village leader will open the village gates for you, giving you a straight path to the Gryphon’s nest, passing through a shrine. In this shrine, you’ll find a statue that you have to interact with to gain blessings, which will give you access to your second mastery. Once all of this is done, it’s a straight road to the nest.
Fighting the Gryphon
The Gryphon is a difficult encounter, but much more manageable if you know what attacks it uses.
- Ground Slam: The Gryphon will take to the air and slam right into the ground. The area where it lands will be marked, so dodge at the last second to evade.
- Claw Swipe: The Gryphon will raise its claws like a horse raising its legs and then swipe straight at you. Sidestep to evade.
- Wing one-two punch: The Gryphon will throw punches at you. Stick to its sides to dodge this one.
- Wave attack: The beast will send a wave through the ground. Sidestep to dodge.
