SSF, or Solo Self-Found, is a feature that allows your character to only use the items that they pick up themselves. This means you cannot trade items with other players, which is often a crucial aspect of any ARPG multiplayer experience.

With SSF on, you’re essentially restricting yourself to a single-player experience. As you start a new game, Titan Quest 2 will present you with the option to enable or disable SSF. Whatever option you pick, you’ll be locked with it for the rest of your run with that character.

Should You Enable SSF in Titan Quest 2?

As stated earlier, you get the option to enable SSF during the character select phase of the game. Now that you know what SSF is, you may wonder if this is something you should enable.

To answer your question, we recommend keeping SSF disabled (uncheck the box). This allows you to access the multiplayer elements of the game, and can potentially help you find powerful gear that you otherwise may not have found.

With that being said, multiplayer is not currently available in Titan Quest 2. There is an option to play multiplayer, but the whole thing is wildly unstable at the moment. Over the course of the year, the devs will patch multiplayer and make it fully functional. If you wish to pursue multiplayer with the character you’re making, it is better to disable SSF.
