Genres like co-op and multiplayer are perfect to play with your friends. Most games can be fun, but sometimes you just need someone to play with. Games such as Phasmophobia or Valheim let you connect with your friends in a world beyond ours. People can live far away from one another, and such games are perfect to bridge that gap between them.
You can drop down on a bug-infested world or build on the peaceful fields of a fantasy world—games allow many options for you and your friends to choose from. In this list, we have discussed about five games you should play with your friends in February 2025.

5) Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is the sequel to the original Helldivers: Dive Harder. In this co-op shooter, you and three others are pitted against hordes of monsters and rogue war machines on a massive battlefield. This is a perfect game to play with your friends due to it being a great combination of fun and chaos.
Each mission varies as you complete objectives strewn across the map to call for extraction. Depending on the difficulty level, the chaos can exponentially increase due to massive waves of enemies spawning in your face. Furthermore, you can use various power-ups known as stratagems ranging from calling in a turret to a whole off-planet death laser.
The weapons are also innovative due to some needing help from another person to reload. Trying this game out with your friends is recommended with developers still releasing new content with more planned for the future.
4) Phasmophobia
Phasmophobia is a four-player co-op horror by Kinetic Games. In this game, you and your friends can play as paranormal specialists tasked with identifying the ghost. Various instruments are provided that can be used to properly identify what type of ghost you are dealing with. Additionally, each ghost exhibits unique behaviors that players can use to identify and differentiate them.
There is also a sanity system that is affected by being alone or in the dark. Ghost hunts can begin with low enough sanity during which you need to run to the nearest hiding spot and stay silent as ghosts can hear you in proximity chat. You can also use items such as incense or crucifixes to delay the hunts. The chaos during the sudden ghost hunts alone makes this game worth it to play with your friends.
3) Deep Rock Galactic
Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op FPS by Ghost Ship Games. In this game, you play as dwarves in space working for a mining company. As an employee of the company, you must participate in various kinds of missions ranging from mining minerals to building extractors. The planet is full of monstrous bugs that want to kill anyone on sight. You need to mow through hordes of bugs to complete your objective.
You can play from four classes of dwarfs—each with varying kits and playstyles. Additionally, each cave you drop in is procedurally generated, making sure no two cave systems are the same. Players can modify weapons using overclocks of varying rarities, each offering unique effects. These effects can range from a simple fire rate increase to completely changing how the gun functions. All in all, this is a really good game to play with your friends if you want to enjoy some fast-paced chaotic fun.
2) Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals is a very recent release from NetEase Games. This is a 6v6 multiplayer hero shooter where you play from a roster of famous Marvel characters. Each character is classed according to their kit ranging from Vanguard, Duelist, and Support. Two main types of objectives exist in the main mode, which are escort missions and domination mode. You and your friends can utilize the synergy system between characters to unlock special abilities.
Whether you want to have fun playing your favorite superhero or play from a competitive standpoint—this game has it all. With various new events and modes, NetEase Games is doing a great job of keeping the game filled with content. Lastly, the developers have confirmed that they will continuously add new characters over time and introduce missions with rewards to encourage players to experiment with different characters and game modes.
1) Valheim
Valheim is an exploration and survival game by Iron Gate AB. This game is still in early access, but a huge amount of content is already released. This game allows ten players to play together in a world. Here, you play as a Viking who recently died and was brought to the world of Valheim by a Valkyrie. Odin has given you a test to bring down great monsters in this realm to truly enter Valhalla.
Start small with a simple club and bow. Build houses with your friends as you progress through various locations while constantly upgrading yourself. Each region unlocks newer resources necessary for your progression. This also means enemies get stronger and craftier as you soon see yourself fighting dragons instead of skeletons. The game can get unapologetically brutal—dying is inevitable. Therefore, teamwork is necessary to survive in the world of Valehim. Take on different roles between friends ranging from collection of resources, building, and even farming.
