Amid the controversy involving Thomas “TommyInnit” and Clay “Dream”, Tobias “Tubbo” has voiced his opinions about Dream. For context, Dream shared a post on X on January 11, 2025, calling TommyInnit fans the “r-word”. To which TommyInnit claimed that it only took a mention of Donald Trump to “crack” Dream. After that, Dream hosted a livestream on January 12, 2025, addressing the situation and other issues within his community and other creators.
Tobias chimed in the feud by showing support towards Tommy and condemned Dream’s use of the r-word. He also called out Dream for stating that Tommy lacks “backbone.”
“To say he has no backbone just shows how you never f**king knew him as a person when you did know him… And if you did, it’s a stupid attempt to change his image.”
While criticizing Dream’s comments about Tommy and his fans, Tubbo also called out other creators on the Dream SMP server, stating that there were some “spineless” creators on the server. He also stated Tommy idolized Dream and Wilbur but had to cut them off due to their behavior. He emphasized there being some spineless people on the SMP server but Tommy was not one of them.

Tubbo claimed that Dream profited financially by keeping his sexuality “ambiguous”, he stated that his take was an uncharitable view. For context, In April 2022, Dream posted a tweet on X stating that he is not gay but does find women attractive and some men as well. Since then, Dream’s sexuality has been under scrutiny. In the stream, Tubbo stated:
“This is a very uncharitable view from me. I’m about to give… full disclaimer – I’m about to give a very uncharitable view and this is one time I’m not going to give the bod. I think Dream has made a lot of money from keeping his sexuality ambiguous… and I think that’s the only reason why he won’t be like, ‘I’m outright straight.’
What Did Tubbo Say About the Dream SMP Discord Server?
Tobias also called out the Dream SMP Discord server members for hosting inappropriate conversations in the voice chat channels. He stated that he was a minor at the time of these conversations and ignored the problematic topics. He said that he was uncomfortable during these conversations but ignored them because he thought they were mature discussions. Tubbo stated:
“I’ve had some gripes with certain inappropriate topic of conversation that happened in the Dream SMP Discord in like VCs and VC channels when I was younger, which at the time, made me quite uncomfortable but I was like, oh, this is just because I’m older now and I can be a part of these mature conversations. Now, I’m older and I look back at that…Rubs me the wrong way. It rubs me the wrong way.”

Dream later clarified his role in the conversations and admitted to seeing the explicit images being shared on the server. However, he claimed that he did not partake in these conversations.
In his stream, Tubbo also called out Dream for messaging TommyInnit’s mother. He stated that he should not be messaging his friend’s mom over upsetting each other.
