Shelbo claims he is engaged to Pokimane and has been dating her since October 2024, leaving fans concerned about his mental health.
Twitch streamer Shelby “Shelbo” Jacobs went viral after he made a string of claims on February 26, 2025, that left his audience concerned about his mental health. The streamer claimed he got engaged to popular streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys. He also has multiple videos where he claims he is in a relationship with Anys.
Shelbo is a small Twitch streamer with 2,000 Twitch followers and 224 YouTube subscribers. He competed in One True King’s (OTK’s) Top Streamer event in 2024 but didn’t win. Allegedly catfished, he became homeless while searching for Pokimane in California.
In a string of videos, it seems that someone pretended to be Anys and took over $5,000 Shelbo. The unknown person allegedly asked Shelbo to come to California, where he spent most of his savings and ended up homeless.
Shelbo alleged that he was homeless for two weeks and ended up in the hospital. The streamer has clips from a hospital where he claims he was being held back by “witches” who didn’t want him to meet Anys. Internet users think Shelbo is obsessed with Pokimane and needs mental help.
Shelbo Claims He Has Been Dating Anys for Four Months
On February 26, 2025, Shelbo went live on Twitch and said:
“Me and Pokimane have been dating for four months now. Today is our four month anniversary. Guys she is not single, she is taken. I know she likes to keep up her image saying that she is single, but I am in a relationship with her. We’re going to be meeting up soon and, we are engaged guys. We’re engaged.”

While he had less than 50 viewers on stream, his comments about Anys went viral, prompting internet users to visit his channel. His Twitch VOD (video on demand) now has over 50,000 total views. Many shared clips from his channel on social media and said he needs mental help.
Is Pokimane in a Relationship With Shelbo?
Pokimane claimed she was single in February 2025. She recently moved in with content creator Josh “Ellum” Bingle. Many internet users assumed that she was dating Ellum. However, she shut down the rumors saying:
“Please stop assuming i’m dating someone just cause we interact, i’m happily single and it can be disrespectful to the guys because y’all don’t always know their relationship status! i’ll update y’all when i get married tho.”

Internet users continued to speculate that the two streamers were dating. She called out her audience saying:
“Do you live in the 1800s? women and men can be friends, roomies, coworkers, etc, without being romantically involved. i’m sorry you’ve clearly never experienced this lol.”
She clarified that she moved to be closer to her friends from OfflineTV (OTV). The streamer quit the group in 2024 but continues to be friends with many OTV members.
