Twitch streamer Tyler1 has criticized the online community’s “disgusting” behavior towards Pirate Software amid the WoW drama.
After the heavy criticism against Jason “PirateSoftware” has been making rounds over social media platforms, Tyler1 has called out netizens. During his livestream on Twitch, Tyler called out the hate against Jason and stated that it is disgusting. He said that his chat can call him a “Pirate defender.” The streamer implied that the behavior is not acceptable. Tyler1 also stated that he won’t dare to give his take on the situation. A viewer stated that hating against PirateSoftware has become a ‘meme,’ to which the streamer replied that it is all a bit disgusting.
“This guy is an idiot for not saying sorry. But, are we serious with some of the s**t I’ve been seeing? Are we serious? ‘He threatened to report Twitch streamers.’ Bro, okay, but low-key, again, I dare not say my take, but bro, what are we doing? You guys are saying he’s feeding it. He’s a streamer, have you seen his chat? Bro, his chat has been… it’s a meme, yes, but it’s a bit disgusting.”
Tyler1 stated that PirateSoftware is obviously going to lash out given the hate against him. He questioned if people know what egos are. Tyler then addressed the death threats and alleged swatting incidents Pirate faced. Tyler commented on netizens finding out about PirateSoftware’s alternate identity from the past. The streamer mentioned that it is all way too much.
“Obviously, he’s going to lash out. Do people not know what egos are? What are we doing? Like, dude apparently, he’s getting swatted, he’s getting spammed death threats in-game, out of game, people are bringing up his past. Apparently, he was a furry, they found his alt-identity. What are we…? Guys, is this not too much?”
After a viewer in the chat pointed out that Pirate keeps feeding it, Tyler responded that he understands why the streamer keeps feeding the meme. Tyler shared his experience where he walked around the map in WoW and saw members of the guild spamming ‘Pirate is a roach.’ Tyler1 said that Pirate has to feed it because he cannot ignore it. The streamer expressed that all of it is way too much.
“I can’t even walk around Azeroth, without like seeing people spam auto-typing, ‘Pirate’s a roach’…That’s not considering his chat or anywhere he looks.”
What Else Did Tyler1 Say About PirateSoftware Hate?
After the incident took place in the guild, Tyler had called PirateSoftware and Yamatosdeath for a conversation. During the call, PirateSoftware abruptly left the call, after which Yamato called the ex-Blizzard employee egoistic. Tyler stated that Pirate admitted his mistake, and Yamato should not come off as aggressive. He recalled the incident once again and stated:
“Him running is hysterical, him running like an absolute coward in that dungeon is cinema. Yes, he probably did a little bit. Okay, I think after Yamato ego’d him and started yelling at him, he made the excuse, “Oh, I’m out of mana.” I think he made himself out of mana so that he wouldn’t come across as a coward.”
In the recent stream addressing the situation once again, Tyler stated that all he sees on social media is the WoW drama. Tyler humorously also mentioned that he saw about the drama on his banking app.
“it’s all I see everywhere, YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, Reddit. I said it yesterday, I open up my banking app, I see it on the top.”
