Vollstandig is the final and most powerful evolution for the Quincy faction in Type Soul. Comparable to the Soul Reaper’s Bankai, Vollstandig grants huge stat boosts, upgraded abilities, and a striking transformation that can dominate PvP or turn the tide against bosses.
Since the reboot update, unlocking Vollstandig is much easier, but it still requires precision, preparation, and survival through multiple stages without dying. This guide covers all requirements, how to complete each stage, and tips for getting it fast.
What Is Vollstandig in Type Soul?
Vollstandig is a Quincy-exclusive resurrection ability that massively enhances your combat stats and transforms your Schrift into a more powerful form. It offers:
- Huge stat boosts – Health, defense, damage, movement speed, and stamina
- Upgraded Schrift abilities – Unique alternate forms depending on your Schrift
- Visual transformation – Wings, glowing effects, and distinctive aura
- Limited duration – Best saved for clutch moments in PvP or boss fights
How To Unlock Vollstandig
Step 1: Reach Elite Grade
- Progress through the Quincy faction by completing mission board quests and weapon/Schrift quests.
- Rank up from Grade 5 to Elite Grade (the highest Quincy rank).
Step 2: Speak to the Balance NPC
- Go to Wandenreich Castle in Wandenreich City.
- On the top floor, speak to the Balance NPC to begin your Vollstandig progression.
Stage 1: Win-Based Task
Complete ONE of the following options after reaching Elite Grade:
- Win 13 Raids (Karakura Town raids don’t count)
- Win 7 Clan Wars
- Win 26 Ranked Matches (1v1 counts as 0.5 raid win, 2v2 counts as 0.8 raid win)
Tip: Raids happen every 30 minutes; join an active Discord or coordinate with friends to speed up wins.
Stage 2: Kill & Grip Tasks (No Deaths Allowed)
Complete all of the following in a single life:
- 80 Hollow Kills (NPC or Mission Hollow kills only)
- 15 Elite Grade Grips (players from other factions only)
- 1 World Boss Kill (e.g., Jidanbo or Bawabawa)
Tip:
- Work with a group to reduce risk.
- Avoid solo farming in contested zones.
- Dying will reset your Stage 2 progress.
Stage 3: The Vollstandig Trial
- Return to the Balance NPC at Wandenreich Castle.
- Begin the trial: Parry beams of light falling from the sky for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- If you fail:
- Wait for the 1-hour cooldown, or
- Grip one Elite Grade player from another faction to instantly reset the cooldown.
- If you succeed, Yhwach will appear. Interact with him to unlock Vollstandig.
Vollstandig Tips & Best Practices
- Don’t die during any progression stage; death resets your progress for that stage.
- Bring friends for kill, grip, and boss tasks to avoid ambushes.
- Pick your win method wisely, choose raids, ranked, or clan wars based on your strengths.
- Practice parrying before attempting the trial for higher success rates.
- Remember, Vollstandig is Quincy-only and cannot be obtained by other races.
