NFL player Tyreek Hill has finally agreed to race popular streamer IShowSpeed and the clip has gained a lot of attention on social media.
On February 25, 2025, a fan account reposted a video of Tyreek Hill challenging YouTube streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” to a race on social media, which attracted a lot of attention. The short clip comes from the NFL player’s most recent interview with The Athletic. This occurred months after the streamer arrived at the Miami Dolphins’ game and Hill refused to race Darren.
To demonstrate that he is the faster one, IShowSpeed has been discussing racing Tyreek Hill since last year. The YouTuber even visited Tyreek back in August 2024 and issued a race challenge to the football player. Tyreek Hill declined to participate in the challenge at the time, claiming he hadn’t practiced that day.
It looks like he’s up for the challenge now. Tyreek Hill asked IShowSpeed to compete against him during the interview. The NFL player’s response to the question of why he first avoided the challenge was:
“I am not dodging any races, bruh. I’m just trying to wait for the perfect time. Now. I’m challenging you now IShowSpeed to a race.”

Tyreek Hill Has Shown Interest in Racing IShowSpeed Previously
Tyreek Hill has previously challenged IShowSpeed, even though the clip from his interview with The Athletic has been making the rounds online. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver has stated that, under certain conditions, he would be open to competing in a race alongside the YouTuber.
Tyreek had stated that he would be willing to race the streamer if they did it for charity in a December 2024 YouTube video while playing Fortnite. Additionally, he mentioned that IShowSpeed had performed a similar thing for a MrBeast video in which the streamer had raced Olympic champion Noah Lyles. He said:
“I would race that boy for $100K. If he donates to my foundation.”
After watching the video back in December, IShowSpeed responded and agreed to the challenge. He even joked with the football player in a lighthearted manner, saying:
“I am tired of hearing your sh*t Tyreek Hill. You are 20-30 minutes away, I pulled up to your practice last time. You didn’t want to race me because you were scared, so this is what we are going to do. Let’s play by your rules, $100K race 40-yard sprint, whenever.”
