Pace Chasers can endure long races very easily. Here’s a list of the five best Pace Chasers in Umamusume Pretty Derby that you can train.
Pace Chaser is currently the best running style in Umamusume Pretty Derby due to the lack of PvP modes on the global servers. Characters with this style tend to stay in front of others but do not take the lead until the final stretch. Since most AI characters do not have proper skills, it’s easier to reach the late stages of the career mode.
However, choosing which Pace Chaser to train in the URA Finale can be confusing. To help you out, here’s a list of the five best Pace Chasers in Umamusume Pretty Derby.

1. Oguri Cap
Oguri Cap is one of the top Pace Chasers in the game, who is unlockable early by completing a few introductory missions. She is especially suitable for beginners with new accounts when there are no strong Uma Girls or support cards available.
During training, Oguri has a 20% natural aptitude in Speed, which is critical during races since it boosts her top speed. Her standout skill, Triumphant Pulse, allows her to break away from the pack and reach the front in the last 200m, allowing her to avoid being blocked and secure first place.
2. Special Week
If you prefer taking a risk, you can choose Special Week as your free SSR-ranked character instead of Oguri. She lacks the 20% Speed aptitude that Oguri naturally has but compensates with her unique skill, Shooting Star, which boosts her velocity when passing other racers at the start of the late race.
Upgrading her potential can unlock Hydrate, one of the best energy regeneration skills in the game right now. This can significantly aid her in Long and Mile races.
3. Symboli Rudolf
Rudolf is the president of the student council at Tracen Academy, where all Uma Girls go to learn racing. Her Level 3 skill, Dominator, is one of the best debuffs in the game, reducing the speed of racers ahead of Rudolf if she’s at the back in the final stretch. She’s also effective in Medium and Long races, which are common in her URA Finale career.
4. Tokai Teio (Anime Collab)
In the latest update, Tokai Teio received a new form showcasing her anime dress and new skills. Her new unique skill, Certain Victory, increases her speed whenever she crosses another racer in the final section, helping her take the lead easily. Her 10% increased aptitude in Speed and Stamina also helps her maintain top speed.
5. Taiki Shuttle
Taiki Shuttle is one of the best Pace Chasers mainly because of her increased aptitude in Speed training. However, she is best suited for Short and Mile races only, so training her Stamina is useful in only half of her races.
Her unique skill, Shooting For Victory!, requires good positioning near the end of the race to activate. Pace Chasers often get surrounded, so she needs additional positioning skills to properly utilize her skill during races.
