The Gemini Cup in Umamusume Pretty Derby demands top stamina recovery, passive, and last spurt acceleration skills to secure victory over 3200m.

The Gemini Cup is a Long Champions Meeting event in Umamusume Pretty Derby. The 3200m race pushes veteran umas to their limit, demanding a focus on Stamina followed by a powerful last spurt. After training the right stats for the event, players can gain a considerable advantage by investing in the right skills for their participating umas.
Top Skills for Gemini Cup in Umamusume Pretty Derby

Owing to the race’s extreme length, rare Stamina skills that activate mid-race are extremely important. You will require a minimum of one such Stamina skill even with a maxed-out Stamina stat.
Final corner acceleration skills like ‘Final Push’ and ‘Red Shift/LP1211-M’ have no effect in the Gemini Cup, as the last spurt begins past the final corner. This wastes the acceleration skill since the runners’ target speed is only maximized in the last spurt, and they do not need acceleration before it.
Note: Skills within each section are listed in order of decreasing importance. Skills in bold are highly effective and strongly recommended for the race if they apply to your trainee.

- Long Corners
- Long Straightaways
- Uma Stan
Front Runner
- Escape Artist
- Front Runner Corners
- Front Runner Straightaways
- Maverick
- Restless
Front Runners aren’t recommended for the Gemini Cup, so there is a good chance that if you field a Front Runner, she will be the only one using that style in the race. In that case, investing in the ‘Maverick’ passive will provide +40 Speed. ‘Maverick’ is less reliable than other Speed passives like ‘Spring Runner’ and ‘Right-Handed,’ so they should take priority.
Pace Chaser
- Race Planner
- Gourmand
- Speed Star / Prepared to Pass
- Pace Chaser Corners
- Pace Chaser Straightaways
Pace Chasers have access to ideal exclusive Stamina recovery skills. Agnes Tachyon and Daiwa Scarlet have ‘Race Planner,’ while Oguri Cap and the SSR Speed Special Week support card unlock ‘Gourmand.’
Equip at least one of these Stamina skills in addition to Stamina passives, ‘Swinging Maestro,’ and ‘Cooldown’ or ‘Breath of Fresh Air.’ Pace Chasers can thus easily make up for their less efficient Stamina-to-HP conversion ratio by equipping three rare Stamina-recovery skills, meeting the race’s demanding HP requirements while focusing on training Speed and Power.
Late Surger
- Rising Dragon
- Fast & Furious
- 1,500,000 CC
- On Your Left! / Slick Surge
- Late Surger Corners
- Late Surger Straightaways
Late Surgers are at a disadvantage compared to End Closers in the Gemini Cup, and ‘Rising Dragon’ is the best skill they can invest in. Using ‘On Your Left!’ is a gamble because if it activates before the last spurt, it provides no benefit.
End Closer
- Encroaching Shadow / Straightaway Spurt
- Sleeping Lion
- Go-Home Specialist
- Sturm und Drang / Masterful Gambit
- Behold Thine Emperor’s Divine Might
- End Closer Corners
- End Closer Straightaways
Narita Taishin is the best trainee for the Gemini Cup because she can unlock ‘Encroaching Shadow,’ which increases acceleration in the last spurt. She also has access to ‘Sleeping Lion,’ which works like ‘Gourmand’ and increases Stamina mid-race. Gold Ship has access to ‘Go-Home Specialist’ and can learn ‘Straightaway Spurt’ through Narita Taishin White Spark inheritance or the Hishi Amazon SR Power card.
