This skill is an upgraded version of the Normal skill, Straightaway Recovery. Straightaway Recovery has the same effect as Breath of Fresh Air, only to a lesser degree.
Both skills let you recover Stamina up to a certain amount. The condition for activating this skill is quite generous, as it can activate on every straight within a race.

How To Get Breath of Fresh Air in Umamusume Pretty Derby
There are two main methods of obtaining this skill. Firstly, you can get this through particular events when using certain characters. These are:
- Vodka (Wild Top Gear)
- Mayano Top Gun (Scramble Zone)
Apart from these, you can also get it if you use the Vodka (Wild Rider) SSR Support Card. While training with this Support Card equipped, there is a chance for the ‘Put That on the Record, Okay?’ event to occur. You will get a Skill Hint for Breath of Fresh Air through this event, which reduces the cost of obtaining it as well.

Verdict: Is Breath of Fresh Air Worth It?
Overall, this skill is not worth it. That doesn’t mean this skill isn’t good. The skill is definitely useful; however, the cost to acquire it is extremely high. Since it is a Rare skill, you first have to get its base version, Straightaway Recovery. Both these skills cost 170 Skill Points, which total up to 340.
