The health of an athlete is of utmost importance before an upcoming event. The same is true in Umamusume as well, as your character’s performance can be severely affected by several conditions. In the Career mode of Pretty Derby, several random events can cause your trainee to be afflicted by specific conditions.
These conditions can have varying effects. While some of the conditions are positive, the majority are highly debilitating and can significantly impact your run. Of the many negative conditions in the game, Slow Metabolism is one of the most debilitating. Here is how you can cure your Umamusume of this condition in Umamusume Pretty Derby.

How To Cure Slow Metabolism in Umamusume Pretty Derby
Slow Metabolism can be cured in the same way as most other negative conditions. The Infirmary is an option that is available in the training menu whenever your trainee is afflicted by a negative condition. Using the Infirmary will take up a turn, and in exchange, it will cure your Umamusume of her negative conditions.
Note that a single visit to the infirmary may not always be enough to cure a negative condition. Sometimes, you may have to visit the Infirmary a few more times. However, this is usually worth it, especially for conditions like Slow Metabolism.
In addition, there is also a chance for your Umamusume to shake off the condition on her own after successful training sessions. However, this chance is quite low and, as such, is not worth banking on.
What Does Slow Metabolism Do in Umamusume Pretty Derby?
Slow Metabolism prevents the Speed stat from increasing. Given that the Speed stat is one of, if not the, most important stats in the game, the harm of Slow Metabolism should be fairly obvious.
It is because of this extremely hindering nature that you should prioritize getting rid of Slow Metabolism as fast as possible. Of course, you can still attempt training that does not raise your Speed if you do not want to lose out on training. But in general, visiting the Infirmary is the most recommended option for curing Slow Metabolism.
