In Umamusume Pretty Derby, your Uma Girl can obtain titles similar to those of other players, known as Epithets. Unlike titles, Epithets are harder to acquire, as each requires you to complete difficult objectives in the URA Finale mode.
If you wish to showcase a strong Umamusume, having a good Epithet can greatly boost how many players follow you, which in turn nets you free Friend Points. However, the Epithet system is a bit complex compared to titles, so players can easily get confused when trying to obtain one. Obtaining Epithets in Umamusume Pretty Derby
To acquire Epithets, you first have to complete an entire playthrough of the URA Finale mode. However, during the run, you also have to complete milestones, such as winning all G2 races or achieving an A rank in Speed. These do not show up during the playthrough until the very end. Once the run is over, you get the option to select one Epithet that you obtained during the playthrough and attach it to your trainee.
There are three total rarities of Epithets: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The rarity of your Epithet is shown as a border when you use the Veteran Umamusume again in another race mode. Moreover, the rarest Epithet is shown on the Trainee screen of the Uma Girl as well. You can see what you need to do to earn a specific Epithet by checking out the Epithet menu in the Umamusume Profile screen.
Why Should You Use Epithets in Umamusume Pretty Derby?
Some Epithets in the game are more sought after than others. For example, Legendary Diva requires you to win 5 G1 races, win the entire URA Finale mode, and have over 320,000 fans by the end. Moreover, some Epithets also grant extra stats, which come in handy in different race modes like Daily Races or Team Trials.
