Uncapping allows you to upgrade your Support Cards in Umamusume Pretty Derby. Here’s how to do it and the benefits of doing so.
In Umamusume Pretty Derby, you can upgrade your Support Cards using the Uncapping feature. Support Cards are important items that allow you to boost your training in the URA Finale Mode. All Support Cards in the game start at Tier 0, which locks a lot of useful passive abilities and limits the potential of the present passives.

Umamusume Pretty Derby: Uncap Support Cards
Support Cards in this game act very differently from most other gacha games’ support items. You are going to need multiple copies of a single card to truly bring out their potential. Therefore, uncapping is a very important feature that you have to use often. That said, you first need to get duplicate cards to use this feature. Once you have some, follow these steps to uncap your Support Cards:
- Navigate to the Enhance menu.
- Click on Support Cards.
- If you have duplicate cards, a pink horseshoe icon appears on the Uncap button; click it.
- Pick the card you wish to upcap and click on Select.
- Click on the green arrow on the right side and then click on the Uncap button to complete the process.
Once you are done, it is recommended to immediately upgrade the card to increase its level and unlock the benefits of uncapping.
Uncapping Guide in Umamusume Pretty Derby
Among all the Support Cards in the game, it is best to uncap SR-ranked cards. The reason for that is R-ranked cards are the weakest, and obtaining multiple copies of SSR-ranked cards is going to be very difficult. Therefore, save up gold rarity cards and uncap those the moment you get duplicates.
