Support Cards are a core part of Umamusume Pretty Derby. You will need good Support Cards to ensure that your characters perform well during their careers. The newest Support Card available for the global version of the game is the SSR Mejiro Palmer (Go Ahead and Laugh).

This card has a Unique Perk, Career Event, and various Support Effects. Firstly, its Unique Perk is called Go Ahead and Laugh, which increases the effectiveness of training by 5% and your initial Guts stat by 20 when starting a Career run. Meanwhile, the Gold Skill Vanguard Spirit increases your speed if you are in the lead during the middle leg of the race.

Lastly, it also has a bunch of Support Effects. These are:
- Friendship Bonus 35%: Increases the effectiveness of Friendship Training
- Initial Friendship Gauge 25: Increases initial Friendship Gauge when beginning a Career playthrough
- Hint Levels Lv 3: Increases the level of hints gained through events
- Mood Effect 40%: Amplifies the effect of mood when training together
- Race Bonus 5%: Increases stat gain from races
- Hint Frequency 40%: Increases the frequency at which hint events occur
- Power Bonus 1: Increases Power gain when training together
- Fan Bonus 15%: Increases fan gain from races
- Specialty Priority 65: Increases the frequency at which the character participates in their preferred training type
Should You Get the Mejiro Palmer (Go Ahead and Laugh) Support Card in Umamusume Pretty Derby
This card is held back for two reasons. Firstly, increasing Guts is not as beneficial as the other stats (at least in the current version of the game). Similarly, the Vanguard Spirit effect is also not great, as it won’t see much usage presently. Overall, you will find better Support Cards that are worth your time and investment.
So, it is not recommended to get this Support Card, at least until you are sure of a future unit that can utilize it.
