Pace Chaser is one of the best running styles in the current meta of Umamusume Pretty Derby. Here’s how you can maximize your training.

Pace Chaser is the most popular running style in Umamusume Pretty Derby, as many Uma Girls are proficient in this style. Most other styles usually require you to focus on two or more stats to win races. However, Pace Chasers can use good Support Cards and train one stat to keep winning races.
When running using this style, the runner stays near the front of the pack, but not directly at the front. Doing so can help your trainee avoid blocks near the end, but it also uses quite a bit of stamina in the process.
To help you master this style, here’s a guide on the Pace Chaser running style in Umamusume Pretty Derby.

Umamusume Pretty Derby: Pace Chaser Guide

When it comes to Pace Chasers, you should be using at least three or more speed-oriented Support Cards. This means any type of training can net you points in Speed. Additionally, Speed is going to be your main priority in URA Finale training. You should aim for the Level 4–5 Speed facility upgrade before reaching Objective 8 of your Uma Girl.
The second most important stat for Pace Chasers is Power. The ability to quickly reach your top speed near the end of the run can win you quite a few races. Do note that you perform best in Medium and Mile races, but Longs can prove to be a bit difficult.
When it comes to skills, you will require at least one or two endurance skills due to the high energy usage. However, most Pace Chasers have good, unique skills that upgrade when you obtain lots of fans in the career runs. Here are some skills that you should focus on obtaining for every Pace Chaser:
- Swinging Maestro
- Gourmand
- Firm Conditions
- Innate Experience
- Speed Star
