Umamusume Pretty Derby: Smart Falcon Training Guide

This guide plays to Smart Falcon’s strengths and recommends training her as a Dirt Front Runner.
Stats
Race Distance | Speed | Stamina | Power | Guts | Wit |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Mile (Dirt) | 1100+ | 600+* | 800+ | 300+ | 400+ |
* ~800 Stamina is required to complete a Mile race without losing max speed as a Front Runner with 300 Guts. You can use one rare stamina-recovery skill like ‘Breath of Fresh Air’ along with ‘Corner Recovery’ and ‘Standard Distance’ to make up for the lack of Stamina.
For PvP, Stamina is the most important stat to focus on, followed by Speed and Power. There is no point in having 1200 Speed if your Stamina is below 600 with no recovery skills, as your uma’s velocity will reduce drastically when she runs out of stamina.

Support Card Loadout
- 4 Speed
- 2 Power
The following list recommends good Support Card matches with notable skills. However, if these cards are 0LB (SSR) or 1LB (SR), use other higher-level Speed or Power cards available in your deck. Bolded Support Cards and skills are very valuable.
Speed Support Cards
- SSR Kitasan Black
- Practice Perfect Condition
- Skills: Front Runner Straightaways, Professor of Curvature, Straightaway Adept, Corner Adept, Corner Recovery
- SSR Nishino Flower
- Charming Condition
- Skills: Beeline Burst, Straightaway Adept
- SSR Silence Suzuka
- Skills: Unrestrained, Final Push, Early Lead
- SSR Twin Turbo
- Skills: Taking the Lead, Fast-Paced, Leader’s Pride
- SR Sweep Tosho

Power Support Cards
- SR Mihono Bourbon

- SSR Vodka
- Skills: Breath of Fresh Air, Straightaway Acceleration, Homestretch Haste, Mile Straightaways
- SSR Oguri Cap
- Skills: Acceleration, Corner Acceleration, Homestretch Haste
If you don’t have two good Power cards, use one high-level Stamina card alongside one Power card and increase Power through Sparks.
Legacy

Find as many Stamina Sparks as you can for both Legacies. Since Speed and Power stats will be increased through Support Cards, you will have to rely on Sparks to some extent for raising Stamina. Aim for a total of 9-18 stars of Stamina Sparks from both Legacies. Maruzensky and Taiki Shuttle make for ideal parents as they pass on the powerful, unique skills ‘Red Shift’ and ‘Shooting for Victory!’ while having a high affinity.
Innate Skills
- Unique Skill: Sparkly Stardom
- Increases velocity and acceleration when about to be overtaken on a straight in the mid-race.
Smart Falcon’s unique skill is extremely powerful as it lasts for 5 seconds after activation, with the effect ideally overlapping into the late-race. Ensure that you meet the fan targets during training to level up the unique skill fully.
Most of Smart Falcon’s innate skills are very useful, especially those exclusive to Front Runners and Dirt. Here are the skills you should learn, listed in descending order of importance:
- Leader’s Pride
- Top Pick
- Promising Omen
- Trending in the Charts! (Potential Level 5)
- Front Runner Savvy
