SSR Air Shakur is a Wit Support Card in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The support is widely considered to be one of the worst SSR cards you can pull during scouting. SSR Air Shakur has access to sparse skills and underwhelming event bonuses. This article explores SSR Air Shakur’s training bonuses, events, and skills to explain its poor reputation and find a suitable use case for it.

Support Effects

The following training bonuses are for the MLB (Max Limit Break) version of SSR Air Shakur Support and include its unique effects.

  • Friendship Bonus: 20%
  • Hint Level: 4
  • Hint Frequency: 60
  • Mood Effect: 40%
  • Training Effectiveness: 5%
  • Initial Wit: 30
  • Initial Friendship Gauge: 40
  • Skill Point Bonus: 1

Using SSR Air Shakur in a trainee’s Support Card loadout boosts their Wit Friendship Training with a small energy recovery bonus. When stacked with another Wit card, this energy bonus can be considerable, allowing for more training sessions with fewer turns spent on resting.

However, the card will need to be uncapped and leveled up fully for a significant bonus to energy recovery, which is not worth the resource investment. Furthermore, the lack of Specialty Priority reduces the frequency of Friendship Training.

The high level of skill hints and their frequency would have had greater value if Air Shakur possessed good skills. Sadly, not only does the card have a poor set of skills, but they are also in short supply. Overall, SSR Air Shakur has mediocre training bonuses that compound the card’s existing problems.

How To Use SSR Air Shakur Support Card in Umamusume: Pretty Derby

SSR Air Shakur has poor training bonuses and a lackluster skill set ill-suited to any running style or race category. Several of its skills, including its rare skill, ‘Unyielding,’ have unfavorable activation conditions. What makes matters worse is that the card has only one energy-recovering event. When compared to a top-tier Wit Support Card like SSR Fine Motion, Air Shakur’s support falls short in every category.

One of the only use cases for SSR Air Shakur is in a Speed-Wit build for an End Closer in Medium or Long distance. Training Wit recovers energy and gives a small bonus to Speed. When the Wit energy recovery bonus of Air Shakur is stacked with other Wit Support Cards, it can become considerable. However, the use case is too niche to lend much value to the card.

Consider heading into Support Card storage and turning any SSR Air Shakur cards you have into Rainbow Cleats. One Air Shakur card will yield 10 Rainbow Cleats, which can be used to purchase valuable upgrade materials and an SR+ Guaranteed Scout Ticket from the Cleats Exchange.
