1. Dominator
The Dominator is the best debuff skill in Umamusume Pretty Derby because it’s available to most characters. It allows your Uma Girl to decrease the speed of other runners when she is toward the back of the pack late in the race. In other words, this skill is perfect for Late Surgers and End Closers, or if your Uma Girl is performing poorly in a race.
2. Greed for Speed
This skill is very similar to Dominator, as it steals speed from other runners when your Uma Girl is at the front. It is ranked second because Greed for Speed only works when your Uma Girl uses the Front Runner running style. However, if you choose a character like Mihono Bourbon, this skill can easily help you win tough races when combined with other good skills and stats.
3. Mystifying Murmur
The worst thing that can happen to a runner during a race is confusion, which causes poor positioning. Mystifying Murmur lets your Uma Girl confuse all runners ahead of her mid-race, making it easier for her to catch up. This can also prevent strong characters from taking the lead in PvP modes, where most opponents have high stats.

4. Stamina Siphon
In late-game races, tracks tend to be long and require a lot of stamina. This skill allows your trainee to steal stamina from runners ahead in mid-race, which acts as both a buff for you and a debuff for your opponents. Moreover, this debuff comes in handy if your trainee has a below-average Stamina stat during training.
5. All-Seeing Eyes
This skill startles other runners late in the race, helping your trainee catch up and take the lead amid confusion. However, it can only be used if your trainee is in the Late Surger position. Using this skill with any other running style will have no effect during a race.
