How To Craft Sawdust in V Rising
Just like in real life, you will need wood to get Sawdust. Wood can be obtained quite easily in the game. Simply cut down any tree you see, and you will gather wood in large amounts.
Next, place this newly acquired wood into a Sawmill. Refining 20 pieces of wood will yield 1 plank of wood along with a piece of Sawdust. However, this process takes 20 seconds.
The Sawmill is unlocked after completing the Shelter quest early in the game. You will need 280 wood and 80 stone to build a Sawmill. Naturally, the Advanced Sawmill reduces your processing time and lowers the cost needed to make Sawdust as well.

Recipes Involving Sawdust
Sawdust has one simple use in the game—making paper. Paper, in turn, is used to craft a bunch of useful items later. You can make paper using:
- 4x Sawdust
- 4x Plant Fibre
Putting the above ingredients into a Paper Press will give you one piece of paper. This crafting process takes 10 seconds. You can unlock the Paper Press by defeating Nicholaus the Fallen, a level 35 V Blood Carrier. You can find this boss at the Forgotten Cemetery in central Farbane Woods.
