An unknown man assaulted Johnny Somali in the streets of South Korea, amidst the criminal charges Somali is facing in the country.

Controversial content creator Rashid Khalid Ismael, popularly known as “Johnny Somali,” was assaulted in South Korea during a livestream on March 28, 2025. The Rumble streamer went live on the web3 streaming platform Parti for the first time and was assaulted by a stranger.
Somali ran after the man and verbally fought him for a few minutes before the stranger entered a metro station. Johnny Somali has been attacked in South Korea multiple times since he arrived in 2024. The streamer has seemingly offended locals, and some South Korean citizens tracked him down to confront him during his livestreams.
Johnny Somali is facing multiple criminal charges for his alleged misdemeanors in South Korea. The streamer will face trial on April 19, 2025, and is allegedly facing mandatory prison time. YouTubers Atozy and Andrew “Legal Mindset” Esquire are covering the situation and claim Johnny is in “big trouble.”
Stranger Attacks Johnny Somali in South Korea
Johnny Somali was broadcasting to his audience from the streets in South Korea and asked his audience:

A stranger walked up to Johnny and punched him in the face. The streamer was surprised by the attack and chased after the stranger:
“What’s that? Come back. Come back. What did you say? Ayy..what’s up? Why’d you punch me?”
The stranger responded:
“You’re in my country, buddy.”
Johnny tried to make the stranger fight him in front of a police station, but the man kept walking away. The streamer could not identify the man because he was wearing a mask. He called South Korean men “weak” and laughed at the situation.
Johnny May Be Facing Prison Time for His Misdemeanors
According to YouTuber Legal Mindset, Johnny Somali is facing serious prison time. The YouTuber reported in a series of tweets:
“5th charge OFFICIALLY MERGED into case of Ramsey Khalid Ismael (Johnny Somali) in South Korea. This charge carries MANDATORY prison time with NO OPTION OF FINE. Ramsey is officially headed behind bars, unless he can somehow win against a prosecutors with a 98% win rate”

Johnny appeared in court on March 7, 2025, and seemingly mocked the prosecutors. The court reprimanded him for his behavior and asked him to reappear on April 19, 2025. He is facing five criminal charges, with one of them reportedly carrying mandatory prison time.
The streamer is facing charges for harassing locals, desecrating cultural spots, and preventing citizens from conducting their business. Additionally, Johnny has to face criminal proceedings in multiple South Korean districts as multiple district courts are framing charges against the streamer.
