Ability Points
In this game, Abilities follow a skill tree concept. The more you progress within the game, the more ability points you will unlock to use on your character. The abilities are of two types— ‘Shared Abilities’ and ‘Exclusive Abilities’. Upgrading both abilities is crucial for a smooth progression through the game.
‘Shared Abilities’ are universal amongst all the classes. These are the common skills that improve certain consumables or stats and can be equipped by all characters. Examples of such abilities are increasing flask capacity, status boosts, or other similar factors.
On the other hand, ‘Exclusive Abilities’ are unique skills distinct to each class. These skills are based on the unique perks, specializations, and weapons of a character. These are essential to upgrade and max out the potential of your chosen class.
Types and Uses of Goods
While collecting ability points is important, there are a few other types of collectibles which you can use to unlock different abilities. These are as listed below.

Account Leveling System
Now with the ability system being clear, let us talk about the main leveling system in the game. Each class in Vindictus: Defying Fate starts the game at a base level. The account leveling system works as you progress in the game, raising your character’s level.
The account-level system is forgiving, as it does not increase based on the character type. On the contrary, the leveling works according to the player’s account. This means the levels are shared between the different classes.
This means that as you level further in the game, the increase in level automatically applies to all the different characters in your slot. You will also receive status rewards at certain stages, which apply in the same way. So, you don’t have to worry about your character level resetting to ground zero due to the account-based level sharing.
