His family stayed in Kidbrooke, Ladywell, Deptford, and New Cross, among other places, before eventually settling in a town named Orpington, which is located in the London Borough of Bromley.

Why Was Yung Filly Arrested in Australia?

Yung Filly was arrested in Brisbane and then extradited to Perth by the Australian authorities on October 10, 2024. It is alleged that the rapper carried out the actions on September 28, 2024, in a hotel room. The victim was allegedly a woman in her 20s. He then went on to perform in a Perth nightclub. The authorities have claimed that they possess CCTV footage and pictorial “evidence” corroborating the alleged event.

The musician appeared at the Perth Magistrates Court on October 10, 2024. There, the prosecutor made a statement regarding the photos of the alleged victim. These were shown to the magistrate and not to the court. As per the prosecutor, the content of the photos depicted “violent acts” which were “beyond” what could be considered “consensual”:

“Across her body is a history of violent acts… we say those photos and what is alleged is beyond the pale, beyond what could be considered to be a consensual act.”

What Are the Conditions of Yung Filly’s bail?

Following an appeal filed by Yung Filly’s legal team, he was eventually provided bail under strict conditions. A major condition requires the authorities to keep the musician in Western Australia until his next legal proceeding, scheduled for December 2024. Additionally, they have prohibited Yung Filly from discussing the case on social media and from contacting the alleged victim.

Alongside, he has also submitted his passport and a personal cash sum of AU$100,000 (US$ 67,352) as surety. He is liable to keep in contact with the police on an everyday basis until the next court hearing.

The charges filed against Yung Filly by the Australian police are four counts of rape, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of impeding the woman’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to her neck. Beta Squad member Chunkz and Yung Filly’s collaborative live show, the Chunkz & Filly Show Live, has been canceled in light of the ongoing controversy surrounding the rapper.
