Popular YouTuber BeerBiceps is under fire for allegedly promoting obscenity and engaging in explicit and vulgar discussion.
After making obscene comments on the popular YouTube series ‘India’s Got Latent,’ YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia was named in an FIR. The YouTuber popularly known as ‘BeerBiceps’ passed a remark about a participant’s parents that caused an uproar on social media.
Ranveer faced serious backlash over his comments, with popular celebrities and politicians commenting on the matter. The episode has since been taken down. Allahbadia has since apologized for the comments, stating that he had a lapse in his judgement.
“My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry, Many have asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and, obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I’m not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened, I’m just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment, it wasn’t cool on my part.”

BeerBiceps, is a 31-year-old Indian YouTuber and podcaster. The YouTuber has over 19 million subscribers across several YouTube channels. Ranveer appeared in comedian Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent, which is a popular YouTube video series. Samay has been hosting the talent show parody series for several months now and has featured a lot of big names in Bollywood. Raina is also a popular YouTube streamer who boasts a following of 7.47M subscribers on the platform.
Exploring the Complaints Against BeerBiceps
In response to the controversy, two Mumbai-based lawyers filed a police complaint against Allahbadia and other comedians involved in the show. Apart from the lawyers, the Chief Minister of Assam also announced that the Guwahati police have also registered an FIR. The individuals named in the FIR include popular internet personalities Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Makhija, aka the Rebel Kid.

Samay Raina released a statement about the situation and the ongoing investigation. The comedian assured that he will cooperate with all the agencies for the inquiries. The YouTube live streamer stated that he has taken down all episodes of the show.

Authorities from the Maharashtra Police reached out to the individuals involved with the show. Authorities questioned Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Makhija. The influencers have assured the authorities that the show was unscripted. Despite the backlash, several netizens have shown support for Ranveer. Many fans stated that there are more pressing matters at hand.
